PofP’s customized quarantine system prevents viruses from affecting the performance of our networks. Any user attempting to launch malicious attacks or carry out a port scan (whether they are aware this is happening or not) is identified by the system using their unique Media Access Control (MAC) address and is placed onto a restricted Virtual Network (VLAN). Once they have been placed in quarantine, the user must contact technical support to be removed.
Since attacks are usually due to malicious software being unknowingly installed on a user’s computer, our technical support team will advise the user to run antivirus tools on their system to remove any viruses before reconnecting them to the network.
Quarantined users are unable to use any chat, file-sharing or other Internet applications. They are limited to simple browser use that only gives them access to sites that have the tools they need to get rid of virus.
PofP understands that one of the key requirements of any network is security. VPN and filtering are just a few of the leading methods, and our engineers are qualified through experience and training to design, develop and implement solutions to meet your security requirements.
